Bill Bosgraaf, long time president of Utah Soccer Association, passed away on December 1, 2023. We mourn his loss along with his family and friends. 

Bill was the president of the Utah Soccer Association, a position he took on in 1986 and held at the time of his death. He had many roles in his years in soccer in the United States at the state, regional, and national levels. He was USASA Hall of Fame member and former USASA Vice President. He was Chairman of the USASA National Select Teams Program for fifteen years, was elected as USASA Region IV Deputy Director and then became Regional Director in 2005, a post he held until 2011 when he was elected Vice President of USASA. He was selected for the USASA Hall of Fame in 2007 and entered the Region IV Hall of Fame in 2015. He served as member of the U.S. Soccer Federation Board of Directors from 2005-2007 and again from 2011-2014. Additionally, he was a head of delegation for various U.S. national teams and served on several USSF committees. In 2023 Bill was named a Life Member of U.S. Soccer. 

Bill was born in the Netherlands in 1949 and moved to the U.S. in 1964. He was a player, team founder, club administrator, and referee. He has been an ambassador and advocate for Utah soccer throughout his adult life. 

Bill will be missed by the entire soccer community and especially here in Utah. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Bill’s family and friends.

Funeral services to be held Friday Dec.8th 2:30 PM at Larkin Sunset Garden 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy Utah 84092, with viewing 1 hour prior to service.
